2020 has been a great year of reading, got hold of some great books that helped me through my design journey. I am listing my top 7 picks for the year which is a must read for every UX Designer especially if you love to read. The list not only has design books but also includes some which is of great use for designers.

  1. Sprint : How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days- Jake Knapp
    This book talks about the design process that google uses. Its a 5 day process which helps you quickly test an idea. Its a great process to know and if possible you can use it in your place of work as well.
  2. Made to Stick- Chip & Dan heath
    Are you worried on how to create impact to your audience with your ideas? This book talks about 5 simple ways that you can follow to make ideas that stick in users mind for longer than you think of
  3. Hooked- Nir Eyal
    Are you interested in product design? Do you want your users to engage and fall in love with your product? This book talks about how to design habit forming products which gets users to use your product repeatedly.
  4. Hacking growth- Morgan Brown and Sean Ellis
    This book talks about the business of prduct growth. With great examples of how leading product companies made excellent growth by simple ideas, this book is a great starter for a designer who is looking to think design and business together.
  5. Change by Design — Tim brown
    A great book if you are a beginner in design. This book inspires every designers by talking about how design thinking can bring a great change and positive impact to businesses and organisations.
  6. Creative Confidence- Tom & David kelly
    A great book by the pioneers in design thinking which talks about how design & design thinking can bring changes in the way we live. Great examples and stories of their projects from IDEO which any young designer can get inspired from.
  7. Show your work- Austin kleon
    If you are an introvert designer looking to be more expressive and showcase your work to the real world and grow as an individual or a freelancer this book helps you & motivates you by giving the right direction on how to overcome your weeknesses.
